PROCEDURE 3B.3/11 - Adding or Dropping Courses
for Policy 3B.3
Topics Courses
Topics courses are courses that address current interest
or special needs or for which a staff member may have
a special expertise. These courses are not intended to
become permanent offerings and will not be listed in
the College Catalog. The following guidelines apply to
topics courses:
- Topics courses are not intended to become
permanent courses and will not be listed in the College
Catalog.
- Topics courses are numbered 1187.
- Curriculum Proposal Form and
Common Course Outline Form must be submitted to the division for discussion.
- Curriculum Proposal Form and Common Course Outline
Form must be submitted to AASC as information items
- The Vice President of Educational Services or designee
will announce the decision in the College Bulletin
prior to the course being taught.
Experimental Courses
- Experimental courses may become permanent
courses.
- Experimental courses are numbered 1189.
- Experimental courses may be offered a maximum of three
times. Prior approval is required each time.
- Curriculum Proposal Form and
Common Course Outline Form must
be submitted to the division for discussion.
- Curriculum Proposal Form and Common Course Outline
Form must be submitted to AASC as information items.
- The Vice President of Educational Services or designee
will announce the decision in the College Bulletin
prior to the course being taught.
