An ARCC student may enroll in Aerospace Studies at the University of St. Thomas. Air Force ROTC is an educational and leadership program designed to prepare a student for a commission as a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force. This online feature is available for current and prospective students. It offers quick, efficient, accurate answers to many student questions 24 hours a day/seven days a week. The AskUs icon is a click away on all college web pages. The Aspire Program serves 75 students on the Cambridge Campus. Aspire maximizes a student's connection to the college as they complete the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum by offering small class sizes, team-teaching environments and ongoing collaboration with a program advisor. BookstoreThe Bookstore carries new and used textbooks and other college supplies for your convenience. The Coon Rapids Campus Bookstore also sells Metro Transit bus passes, rents lockers and serves as the Theatre Box Office. Book Charges—Students with confirmed financial aid in excess of tuition and fee obligations are allowed to charge books against their financial aid during a six-day period each term (two days prior to each term through the fourth day of the term). You may only use the book charge process once each term. Book Returns—The Bookstore will issue a full refund for unopened/wrapped books returned with a receipt and returned within the first ten days of fall or spring semester and within the first five days of summer session. Book Buy Back Service—A wholesale company is on campus during finals week of each semester and towards the end of class during summer session to buy back books at market value prices established by national supply and demand. Business OfficeTuition and fees, payments and distribution of financial aid, grants, loans, and scholarship monies are made through the Business Office. Car Starting ServiceThe Coon Rapids Campus offers a free car starting service to students. Simply call Highway 10 Mobil Station at 763.757.6789 and show your Student/Tech ID card to use this free service. Child Care AssistanceFunds are available under the Post-Secondary Childcare Grant Program. For an application and information, visit Financial Matters. Counseling and AdvisingThe Counseling and Advising Service accepts appointments and walk-ins for the following: Academic/Education Counseling—educational planning and academic decision-making, including course selection, major selection, academic progress, graduation, transfer and related academic issues. Career Counseling—career decision-making and planning through assessment of personal interests, values and abilities, and career exploration. Online Advising—a web-based feature, AskUs, allows students to have their questions answered 24 hours a day/seven days a week. Users may search our FAQs or submit a questions and be guaranteed an email response within one business day. Personal Counseling—on-campus counseling and referrals to off-campus resources for personal and/or emotional adjustment issues. Group Programs— workshops and groups to address personal development, self-help, stress management, self-esteem, transfer information, resume writing and interviewing, etc. |
