The Anoka-Ramsey Community College English and Reading Department invites the public to two free panel presentations by the Penumbra Theatre Company, Sept. 30 at the Coon Rapids Campus Performing Arts Center. The first presentation is at 1 p.m.; the second will be held at 2 p.m.
This event, the third annual visit and presentation at the college by Penumbra, includes Dominic Taylor, the associate artistic director, and Stephanie Lein Walseth, August Wilson Fellow for Penumbra’s 2009-2010 season.
T. Mychael Rambo, a celebrated actor, vocalist, and educator here in the Twin Cities and Rex Isom Jr., a veteran actor will read from “Radio Golf” and entertain us with selections from August Wilson’s play, “Radio Golf,” that deals with the dilemma of an up-and-coming African-American entrepreneur who must confront ethical issues as he participates in the gentrification of the neighborhood of his childhood.
The play is the final in Wilson’s cycle of ten plays that examines the African-American experience in the 20th Century in the United States.

Two River Reading Series welcomes Penumbra Theatre’s associate artistic director, Dominic Taylor and August Wilson Fellow, Stephanie Lein Walseth Sept. 30 to discuss August Wilson’s “Radio Golf.” The public is invited to join this free which will include selected readings from the play by veteran actors, T.
