College Open Houses Set for Oct 20 and 22

October 13, 2009

Whether you are graduating from high school, planning for a new career, or seeking re-employment, now is the time to discover your local higher education provider, Anoka-Ramsey Community College. Open Houses are scheduled at both Anoka-Ramsey campuses:

  • Cambridge Campus: Tuesday, Oct. 20, 6 to 7:30 p.m., in lobby area by Rm. G202
  • Coon Rapids Campus: Thursday, Oct. 22, 6 to  8 p.m., in the cafeteria

The Open House is an opportunity to tour the campus of your choice, and talk to college representatives about financial aid, academic programs, athletic programs, student life clubs, veteran’s affairs and more.

 

Along with the first two-years of a four-year degree, Anoka-Ramsey Community College offers:

 

Associate Degrees, such as:

  • Associate in Arts - a general two-year degree or with an emphasis in creative writing, literature, journalism, and psychology.

  • Associate in Science  - a general two-year degree or with a concentration in a select area such as Biological Sciences, Biomedical Technologist, Business Administration, Business Industry & Technology, Community Health, Computer Networking and Telecommunications, Computer Science, Integrative Health & Healing, Pre-Engineering, Registered Nurse: LPN-RN and Registered Nurse: Two-Year Option.

  • Associate in Fine Arts - a two-year degree in Art , Music   or Theatre that readily transfers into four-year fine arts programs.

  • Associate in Applied Science - a specialized two-year degree that is career-specific, such as Business (emphasis in management/marketing, office technology or accounting) and Physical Therapist Assistant.

Bachelor's and Advnaced Degrees, such as:

Anoka-Ramsey Community College also offers many certificates and continuing education options.

Open House 2008 The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Open Houses are set for Tuesday, Oct. 20, 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Cambridge Campus, and Thursday, Oct. 22, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Coon Rapids Campus. These Open Houses offer a great opportunity to learn about the affordable, quality education provided at the college.
