On Saturday the Golden Rams faced the Thunder from Fond du Lac and came away with an 80-76 victory. Solid defense in the first half led to numerous steals and fast-break opportunities for Anoka-Ramsey as they went into halftime with a 42-33 lead.
The Golden Rams built a 14 point lead in the second half, but a combination of missed layups and free throws for Anoka-Ramsey, and some deep three-point shots from the Thunder allowed Fond du Lac to close within three points with under a minute left. For the second time in less than a week, Bryce Wagner hit a free throw to ice the game for Anoka-Ramsey.
The Golden Rams made a season-high 49% from the field (30-61) and came away with 16 steals. Two players scored double digits for Anoka-Ramsey.
