The All for Art exhibit is a juried show, supported by the Blaine Arts Council. The artwork includes a broad range of media including photography (black and white, color and digital), paintings, drawings, watercolors, glass and ceramics. Pieces selected for the exhibit have the opportunity to win the first-place prize of $100, the second-place prize of $50 or the third-place prize of $25.
Colleen Sheehy, Director of Education at the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum in Minneapolis will jury the show and select the winning pieces.
Students in the exhibit are pursuing Anoka-Ramsey's AFA degree program, initiated three years ago to prepare up-and-coming artists for professional success. In addition to a challenging curriculum of art courses, the college's Art Department promotes the idea of exhibitions as being an important ingredient for creating a professional artist.
