Frequently Ask Questions (FAQs)

What is my username?
Your username is the eight-digit Student ID number (Tech ID) assigned to you by Minnesota State College and Universities (MnSCU). This ID is also used for registering online and can be found on the front of your Student Picture ID.

What is my password?
If you have not logged into the Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) network with your Tech ID number, your Password is the first two characters of your last name and the last six-digits of your Tech ID.

What if I don't remember my password, or it has expired and I can't login again?
If you know your six-digit MnSCU portal PIN (used when registering for classes or checking grades online), you can use the Student Account Password Reset page. If you are not sure what your six-digit PIN is, you can contact Records (763.433.1400) and have it reset. Note: If you call Records they can only mail your new PIN to the address in your student record. If you stop by the Records department in person, you can get your PIN immediately.

What does "Your password expires on.." mean?
The account used to login to computers on campus and myARCC has a password expiration date. Passwords are good for 180 days from the date of the most recent password change. This message simply tells you when your password will need to be changed next.
