Outside donors routinely publicize community-based scholarships through the Financial Aid Office. Scholarship information from community donors are listed below: Each scholarship entry includes the scholarship name, deadline date, contact information, and a brief summary of the scholarship requirements:

Scholarship/Donor Academic Business Scholarship
Information and Criteria Students who are pursuing a business related academic degrees.

Scholarship/Donor Families of Freedom
Information and Criteria For members of families impacted by events of 09/11/01. Specifically the fund will benefit children & spouses of the victims.

Scholarship/Donor Minnesota High Tech Foundation
Information and Criteria MHTF - will award students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) disciplines.

~Must be pursuing an undergrad degree in STEM field or teaching. ~Must be sophomore-senior in the 09/10 school year. ~Must have $2,000 of unmet verifiable need.

Information and Criteria Students enrolled at a Minnesota community college, state university or technical college are eligible to apply. Application deadlines: March 15th, November 1st

Scholarship/Donor Public Safety Officer's Survivor Grant
Information and Criteria Be a dependent child less than 23 year old or the surviving spouse of a public safety officer killed in the line of duty. semester to receive program funds. Please do not submit the application more than 30 days prior to the start of the term for which payment is being requested.

Scholarship/Donor Southwest State University Transfer Scholarship
Information and Criteria SMSU President's Transfer Scholarship $1000 per year for 2 years. To be eligible students must have an AA degree and a 3.8 gpa or above.

SMSU Dean's Transfer Scholarship $750 per year for 2 years. To be eligible students must have an AA degree and a 3.0 gpa or above.

SMSU Transfer Scholarship $500 per year for 2 years. To be eligible students must have AA degree adn 2.5 gpa or above.
